What information do i need to place an ad?

A: 
Having the following basic information ready will speed up the ad placement process: category your ad fits into, description you would like to use, asking price, and a digital photo on your hard drive (See How do I include a photo with my ad? for more information on photos). Draw attention to your ad by using terms such as "brand new, best offer, excellent condition, rarely used, originally purchased for, rare find, etc.."
You'll also need a valid email address in order to complete the registration and ad placement process. Any online replies to your ad will be delivered to this email address. Your name and e-mail address is kept private to the person inquiring about your ad (except store owners) until you reply back to them. If you'd rather not use your personal email address, we recommend that you signup for a free email account. Some suggestions are Yahoo.com or Hotmail.com.
Include a photo of the furniture in your ad. Although photos aren't required, ads with photos garner more views than those without.

How much does it cost to place an ad?

A: 
Furniture sold for less than $2000 can be advertised for free. Prices start as low as $10 for all other ads and can run up to 180 days. We also have special deals for store owners. Pease click here to view our package information.
Q3: 
How do I include a photo with my ad?

A: 
All photos need to be in .jpg or .gif format. Photos can be no more than 150k in file size and smaller is recommended especially if you plan to have more than one photo in the ad. Smaller photos will speed up the download of your ad for potential buyers. Dimensions for photos should be no greater than 640 pixels wide by 480 pixels high.
Photos can be resized with any image editing application. Some examples are Adobe PhotoShop, Macromedia Fireworks and Paint Shop Pro. A good free application called IrfanView is available for download at   www.download.com. Once you are at the site, perform a search for "IrfanView". Instructions for resizing can be found in the help section of any of the applications listed above. If you're unfamiliar with the resizing process, you can send us the photos by email and we'll resize and upload them for you at no extra charge. Just complete the ad placement process and include your Ad # when sending us the photos.

What methods of payment does Furniture Searcher.com accept?

Online payments can be in the form of any major credit card. We also accept major credit cards over the phone.

How can I have my ads placed in "Find a Store"?

A: 
Ads in "Find A Store" are included with any "Premium" package. Any dealer who signs up for the Premium package will have their ads listed so that buyers can find stores close to them, products for sale, as well as information such as delivery options and shipping. "Find A Store" is designed to give local store owners the best chance to reach local customers within their sales area.

Can I edit my ad(s)?

Most definitely! You can login with your email address and password at any time and make changes to your ad or contact information.

How will potential buyers reply to my ad?

A: 
Buyers can click on the 'Reply to Ad' link on any furniture ad. Alternatively, they can call you if you provide a phone number in your ad. If you don't provide a phone number, it's very important that you provide a valid working email address in the ad. Your email address is not shown to those replying to your ad. It's only revealed if you reply back to them. It's probably a good idea to test it, by clicking on the 'Reply to Ad' link on your ad and sending yourself a test message.
Some ISP's have stringent SPAM controls in place that cause a lot of their users to miss important emails. If that's the case with your ISP, we recommend that you provide a phone number as a backup solution.
Q8: 
What do I do if my furniture sells?

A: 
Once your furniture sells, simply login with your email address and password, click on the ad you wish to edit and select 'Yes' from the dropdown list beside 'Sold?' on the details page for your ad and then click on the "Update" button. Sold' ads will be automatically purged from the system.
